What could be a more fitting tribute and final conclusion to the legitimate struggles of Eireanns past, than to have its citizens participate in a National Day of Unity, across the island of Ireland, and what could be a more appropriate date and time in Irish history to stage such an event than on our Independence Day January 21st 12 o’clock midday.
This event should be a public holiday and a national annual celebration of Irish music, art, and literature, language, film, and theatre, dance, sport, cultural integration, and Irish history.
There should also be an award ceremony to honour those citizens who have brought great prestige and achievement to their communities and country in the past year.
Yours sincerely,
M. P. Walsh
